an one egg turkey wrap ..

the Inside - Out Omelet !

2 slices of extra lean turkey (40cal)
1/4 chinese sausage (40cal)
1 egg (80cal)
1 slice fat free cheese (30cal)
cilantro
green onion
pepper
vegetable cooking spray

I woke up craving for pizza today .. but again, as usual, way too lazy to go out.

Not ready to face the world yet .. I opened my fridge and thought, what can I eat today to kill this craving ?

French toast ? too many carbs .. toast and eggs ? ehhh .. an omelet ! but would one egg be too less ? do I eat it as an open sided sandwich ?

Then I got it, let's skip the bread and use turkey slices instead.

1) Crack the egg and whip it till the yolks mixed in with the white. I used chopsticks.

2) You can use chunks of ham or any sausage or bacon bits etc. I used waxed chinese sausage and cut it into tiny bits just like bacon. Microwave the bits in a bowl for 30 seconds. Drain oil if there is any. It might be stuck together, so separate it with your hands and mix it in with the egg.

3) Chop up cilantro and/or green onions. Also mix it in with the egg.

4) Sprinkle ground black pepper to your liking.

5) Heat a non-stick frying pan up, spray with 0 calorie vegetable spray.

6) Have a plate ready with one slice of turkey on it.

7) Fry the egg till it's solid enough to flip over. Then fry some more till its done.

8) Carefully put it onto the turkey slice, put the slice of cheese on top of the egg, and add another slice of turkey if you want.

9) Eat with a knife and fork, or like a wrap like I did ! Enjoy !

No sugar, salt or bread ! (Well, the sugar and salt that's already in the meat doesn't count lol)

The whole thing was under 200 calories !

I can't believe I didn't post about this earlier ..

T E A ..

According to Wikipedia, tea has been around since 3200 years ago, I started drinking tea since I was really young. It's my number one chosen drink of choice of all time !

Chinese tea is my favorite, specifically Jasmine at the moment. But I love all sorts.

And hell no, none of that sugar and milk crap. I only drink tea with water. Probably anywhere from 3-10 cups a day on a daily basis.

"Laozi (600-517 BC), the classical Chinese philosopher, described tea as “the froth of the liquid jade” and named it an indispensable ingredient to the elixir of life. "

Indeed, it's the elixir of my life, I'm pretty sure I'd die without it.. lol

Also it has many many health benefits, I'm not gonna list them .. you can google to find out more.

I'm gonna get back to my tea now, laters.

Spinach ..

and strawberries ..

1/2 cup raspberries (32 cal)
1/2 cup spinach (7 cal)
2 strawberries (11.05 cal)
1 tsp honey (20 cal)
2 oz water
2 ice cubes

or

1 cup spinach (7 cal)
2 strawberries (11.05 cal)
1 tsp honey (20 cal)
2 ice cubes

Finally, I have spinach in my fridge again .. unfortunately I didn`t have any sweet fruits such as cantaloupe or watermelon =(

So I broke my own rule and used a tsp of honey ..

Anyways, this drink is low cal, healthy and great tasting !

Apple Carrot Ginger ..

with watermelon and strawberries ..

1 small carrot (21 cal)
1/2 an apple (30 cal)
1 cup watermelon (46 cal)
2 strawberries (11.05 cal)
slice of ginger
4 ice cubes
water as needed

I chopped up the apple and carrot to make it easier on my blender. I use a hand held blender unfortunately.

Originally, I just wanted an apple carrot drink .. but it seemed to be tasteless, so I added watermelon .. which made it too sweet, so I threw in strawberries.

Also, the ginger gives it a really good flavor .. I think it`d taste even better with a chunk of cantaloupe, but I got lazy.

This recipe makes 2 cups.

Happy drinking !

I wanna be a kid again ..

even for just a moment.

I couldn`t resist buying a few lollipops from the lady in the bathroom at the club.

Oh, to be a child again, candy would be the highlight of my day ..

At least I can always reminisce .. <3

Just can`t stop ..

.. this time with lettuce !

1/2 banana (60 cal)
2 strawberries (11.05 cal)
1/4 red bell pepper (25 cal)
1/4 green bell pepper (25 cal)
1/2 cup watermelon (23 cal)
1 cup lettuce (8 cal)
4 ice cube

I originally just wanted to make another bell pepper smoothie, but was too lazy to grab raspberries, so I winged it and threw whatever else I thought would taste good together into the blender. The lettuce was an experiment, you can`t really taste it .. but it left specs of green in the red, which looks kinda nice.

This recipe makes 2 cups.

Smoothie Fever ..

the red bell pepper ..

1/4 banana (30 cal)
1/4 red pepper sliced (25 cal)
1/4 cup raspberries (16 cal)
2 strawberries (11.05 cal)
2 large ice cubes

I`ve been infested with the smoothie fever !!

The red bell pepper is such a nice vibrant red, I wanted to incorporate it into a smoothie .. and it worked !

Again, for those who find it bland, you should add agave. And double the recipe if you want a cup, right now this recipe makes 1/2 cup.

Just blend it all together, it can`t be any easier than this.

Cheers !

Mango Watermelon

mmmmmmmm ..

3 large chunks of watermelon
1/2 a mango (67.5 cal)
1 strawberry (5.525 cal)
2 ice cubes

So I used to make this quite often at my old job (BBT Place) .. but I wouldn`t add strawberry.

Since I don`t like to use sugar or honey in any fruit drinks, the watermelon has to be very ripe and sweet in order for this drink to taste good .. I suggest for those of you who want more taste, add some agave.

For me, this drink is supposed to taste like mostly watermelon with a hint of mango.

It`s hard to get the exact right amount, if you don`t put enough mango .. it just tastes like watermelon.

I think this drink might go well with a few mint leaves too, but I didn`t have any at the time.

I threw in a few frozen raspberries as garnish, but found it too sour.

Anyways, hope you find this drink as appealing as me.

Cheers !

Cilantro ..

it`s kinda bland ..

1 cup spinach (14 cal)
1 cup cilantro
2 strawberry (11.05 cal)
water or ice as needed

I really like cilantro, probably my favorite herb. I found a recipe that was just equal amounts of spinach and cilantro, but found it really bland .. so I threw in a couple strawberries .. and it was a bit better.

I`m just really lazy at the moment and don`t wanna wash or cut up too many items, and it topped off the slight emptyness in my stomach .. so I`m satisfied. =)

Going Green ..

UN BE LI EV AB LE !!

1 cup spinach (14 cal)
1 medium strawberry (5.525 cal)
1/2 cup cantaloupe, cubed (27 cal)
small slice of ginger
2 ice cubes

or

4 cups raw spinach (28 cal)
8 medium strawberries (44.2 cal)
chunk of cucumber (8 cal)
1/4 yellow or orange pepper (25 cal)
4 small slices of ginger
8 large ice cubes

Inspired by Artalie's passion for raw food. THANK YOU !!

After hearing Amanda rave about how delicious and great it is to be drinking raw, I finally bought a blender and a fridge full of fruit.

I just so happened to have found lettuce and spinach in my fridge, and I remembered Amanda constantly saying I MUST try a green smoothie..

Expecting it to be decent, I threw this together.. and I am appalled at myself for not trying it sooner ! =)

It tastes so fresh, and makes me feel more alive, it has such a lovely color too.. <3

So blend everything together, and DRINNK !!

The second recipe makes 4 cups, total of 105.2 calories, so that's only 26.3 calories each !

Turkey Sandwich

I LOVE SANDWICHES ..

2 slices weight watchers whole wheat bread (100 cal)
1/2 tbs fat free mayo (7.5 cal)
slice of fat free kraft cheese (30 cal)
3 slices of turkey (60 cal)
10 ml thai sweet chilli sauces (6 cal)
lettuce
pepper
cilantro
onion
cucumber

I prefer my bread untoasted..

Spread the mayo evenly on the two slices of bread

Put cheese on one slice, then add one slice of turkey on each slice

Sprinkle cilantro on, arrange cucumber slices, add lettuce.

Dash with pepper, and drizzle the sweet chilli sauce.

Put together and enjoy !
